I agree with Senator Eldridge that opioid addiction is a major health crisis in our State. From a legal standpoint, our Courts are clogged with people being prosecuted for crimes that arise out of their addiction. Larceny, home invasion, car jacking, and fraud are only a fraction of the charges I have seen. All due to the addicts trying to get their hands on money to support their addiction.
