The Massachusetts Senate passed a bill this week to ban the use of all handheld cell phones and electronic devices while driving. Now it’s onto the House of Representatives. If it passes the House, it will be signed into law in this legislative session.
There is an exception built in to allow for use in emergencies only.
Pretty soon if you want to use your phone to text or check an email, or to program your Waze, you will have to pull over to the side of the road and have your vehicle in park.
