I was driving back from Court this afternoon and I admit I was rushing to get to my office. I was in the passing lane keeping a safe distance behind the car in front of me. Without warning, this red jaguar turned into my lane causing me to have to brake in order to not run into him. No blinker anywhere to be seen.

This kind of driving really infuriates me. Was this driver just too lazy to put on his blinker that he was willing to risk an accident? I just don’t get it. I’m pretty sure that jag had turn signals, heck it probably has a voice controlled one or a butler on board that would do it for him.

It’s not like you have to do any heavy lifting to put your turn signal on.

So I did a little research about the statistics regarding motor vehicle accidents and turn signals and guess what?

A 2017 study conducted by The Society of Automotive Engineers, reports that drivers who misuse their turn signals cause twice as many accidents than distracted drivers do.

I knew it.

Please use your blinker out there people. It’s a really small thing that could make a huge difference.
